Della Marie Passey

Della Marie Ward was born in Wallace, Idaho and was later adopted by Minnie and Dwayne Ward of Almo, Idaho. She grew up and went to school in Almo and Malta, Idaho. During the summer of 1971 Della studied cosmetology until her graduation in 1972. Della married Stanley Passey on November 2, 1972 at the Logan Temple located in Logan, Utah. They lived in Denver for a short time while Stan was finishing his training for the US Air Force at the USAF training at Lowery AFB. They then transferred to Mr. Home Air Force Base where Christopher and Shana were born. After Stan’s enlistment was up, they moved to Burley and started raising their son and daughter. Della worked as a hair dresser, a seamstress and for a stock broker. When Stan took a job with the State of Idaho, they moved to Twin Falls, Idaho. Della went to college at the College of Idaho and graduated with an Associate’s Degree as a Medical Assistant and worked for the local hospital and a pediatrics office. Stan transferred to Boise to take a promotion and Della worked for St. Luke’s Hospital and St. Luke’s internal medicine. In 2005, Della was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease and battled the disease until her death.
