Share Tribute:

Mark W. Connor (52), of Boise, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his loving family and favorite puppies, on May 14th 2017, after a 5 year battle with cancer.
Mark was born on October 28th 1964, in Leadville Colorado, to Robbie and Ernest Connor and was the youngest of eight: Ernie, Chris, Carol, Karen, Robert, Les, and Terry.
Mark was a kind and caring man with a firmness of mind and a tendency toward stubborn streaks---a true Scorpio. He worked for many years at a private airplane hangar and took great pride in keeping things cleaned and organized. He was meticulous in all things and took pride in his work.
Mark was an avid Steelheads fan and rarely missed a home game; a portable radio substituted at times and he would carry it around to listen to the games, or glued to the television. He collected Steelheads memorabilia which was kept in a designated “Steelheads room” and he was known by several of the players.
Mark was also a long-time dedicated Raiders fan and his home was decorated accordingly, much at times, to the chagrin of his wife.
Mark loved taking driving adventures and taking his puppies out to the park or the river. His favorite place to go was the Oregon coast and he traveled there many times. It is important to mention that he loved ‘sea stars’ and learned that, since these creatures are not technically ‘fish’, they aren’t really called starfish; a point he would strongly correct you on—Scorpio.
Mark is survived by his wife of 27 years, Rachael Anne Connor (Sellin), daughter Tristan Munoz (Alex), twin daughters Haley Brook Livingston (Michael) and Courtney McCall Mahoney (Michael), son Cameron Mark Connor and Hayden Powell, whom he loved as a son.
Mark was blessed with four grandchildren, and he loved them more than anything: Ayla, Armando and Abel Munoz and Liam Livingston. He was close to his nieces Mykala Wallace (Shaner) and Jenna Shaner and was like a second father to them. His favorite puppies were two little chihuahuas Piston and Delilah.
Mark is proceeded in death by his parents Robbie and Ernest Connor and it was a comfort for his family to know that he went to be with his momma on Mother’s day.
The Connor family would like to thank Dr. Dan Zuckerman and all of the wonderful, caring nurses at St. Luke’s Mountain States Tumor Institute. A very special thank you to Chaplain Kelly Malloy, whose constant support and special gift for prayer was instrumental in giving Mark strength, courage, and peace of mind during his cancer journey.
Thanks also to Wish Granters, with the help and support of Home Depot and Citibank for helping Mark to achieve his final wish of a backyard ‘oasis’.
Please make donations in his honor to Wish Granters of Boise or Mountain States Tumor Institute, Everyday Angels program. Thank You to all of our friends, family and neighbors for all of the love and support we have received.
