Dorothy E. Estell

Dorothy Emaline Estell, born in Meridian, Idaho, on January 12, 1923. Passed away peacefully on May 8, 2017. A life long native of Idaho, she attended North Junior High and graduated from Boise High School in 1941. She attended business college for 2 years, securing work in the insurance field.
She married Robert V. (Bob) Estell in 1947. With Bob and Dorothys partnership, together they ran a freight truck transport business, Empire Transport, Inc. from 1960-1984.
During this time in which their son, Craig Estell, and a daughter, Cheri Warhurst were born.
Dorothy was active as a life time member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge, holding Council and Grand Council chairs.
A great supporter of Boise State University, , Dorothy was featured in "The Blue" magazine. Also recognized by the Athletic Association, the Scholarship Fund, and the BSU Presidents Club.
Dorothys family grew to Craig Estell, grandson, Cody Estell; Cheri Warhurst, husband Tom; granddaughter, Liz Link, husband Joe; two great grandsons, Logan and Gavin; granddaughter, Christi Burrows, husband Travis; and one great grandson, Grayson, and grandson, Guy Warhurst.
Dorothy was always there for her family and friends.
With a sharp mind, a feisty wit and a grin to acknowledge. We will miss her.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Cloverdale Funeral Home in Boise. Interment will follow.
